亚美登录,亚美网页版:BUCEA 2026 Open Day and Admissions Consultation Fair successfully held

On April 18, BUCEA hosted its 2026 Open Day and Joint Admissions Consultation Fair. The event brought together nearly 100 well-known universities from Beijing and across China.

The event was guided by the Beijing Education Examinations Authority and the Beijing Higher Education Admissions Services Alliance, and jointly organized by BUCEA and the Admissions Office of the Daxing District Education Examination Center.

Senior officials in attendance included LI Yi, Deputy Secretary of the Beijing Municipal Education Working Committee and Director-General of the Beijing Municipal Education Commission; and WU Jie, Member of the Committee and Deputy Director-General.

Nearly 100 leading universities from Beijing and across China provided face-to-face consultation services for students and parents, offering comprehensive guidance on admissions policies, academic programs, and application strategies.

WEI Chuyuan, Director of the BUCEA Publicity Department, hosted the press conference.

A dedicated press conference was held to present BUCEA’s talent cultivation achievements and key highlights, as well as to announce its new admissions policies for 2026. Over 20 media outlets, including People’s Daily, Guangming Daily, China Education Television, Beijing Daily, Beijing Television, and Beijing City Radio, attended.

President ZHANG Dayu answered media questions.

ZHANG Dayu noted that current urban development increasingly requires top innovative talent aligned with city needs.

BUCEA has significantly reduced the total credit requirements for undergraduate programs, introduced interdisciplinary modules, and established a “1 major + N minors or auxiliary majors” training model.

It is also establishing four new talent development platforms: the School of Future Architecture and Technology, the BUCEA Academy of Engineering Excellence, the School of Modern New Energy Industry, and the Luban Global School.

CHEN Hongbing, Vice President of BUCEA, briefed about talent development efforts.

YANG Jianwei, Vice President of BUCEA and Dean of the BUCEA Academy of Engineering Excellence, introduced the academy’s distinctive programs.

HU Dejun, Director of the Admissions Office presented 2026 admissions policies.

SUN Qiang, Director of the Student Career Center, shared employment outcomes, noting that over 70% of BUCEA graduates have worked in Beijing in recent 5 years, with nearly 80% employed across the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.

ZHAO Yinqing, Deputy Director of the Human Resources Department at Beijing General Municipal Engineering Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd., shared an overview of the institute’s recruitment of BUCEA graduates.

SUN Tuo, a 2009 alumnus of the School of Civil and Transportation Engineering and currently the chairman of ZBMEC Co., Ltd., shared his learning and growth experiences.

A student representative from the School of Future Architecture and Technology shared her experiences studying and living on campus.

BUCEA also set up exhibition areas, presentation zones, open spaces, as well as display panels on educational achievements, a technology research demonstration area, open labs and facilities to comprehensively showcase its accomplishments.
