On August 14, Beijing’s “Most Beautiful Scientific and Technological Worker” award in 2021 was unveiled. Professor JI Jie, Dean of the School of Civil and Transportation Engineering, and other nine professionals from the frontline of scientific research and production in Beijing were awarded “The Most Beautiful Scientific and Technological Worker” of 2021 in Beijing, and were selected as candidates of “the Most Beautiful Sci-Tech Personnel” of 2021 in China.

Recently, Professor JI Jie led her team members, SUO Zhi, ZHANG Ran, REN Wanyan and WANG Zhe, to participate in the publicity activity of “The Most Beautiful Scientific and Technological Worker” of 2021 in Beijing held by Beijing Radio & Television Station. Video clips on the outstanding deeds of 10 professionals were broadcasted on the scene, showing their understanding of work and life from different perspectives. Trophies were also awarded.

It’s reported that this event was jointly held for the first time by the Publicity Department of Beijing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Beijing Association for Science and Technology, the Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission, the Administrative Committee of Zhongguancun Science Park, and the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology. The 2021 award winners come from science, engineering, agriculture, medicine and other disciplines, covering numerous fields including biology, communication, aerospace, education and medical care, etc.
