Recently, the 5th SZWG National Innovative Technology Competition on Water Supply and Sewerage for College Students themed on “Promoting Green, Low-carbon, and Sustainable Development Through Innovation” was held, which attracted 175 teams from 81 universities to display their original innovations.

The SZWG National Innovative Technology Competition on Water Supply and Sewerage for College Students is one of the most influential competitions in China’s water industry. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, participants attended the event through online defense. The Competition included two categories, namely, Creative Competition and Targeted Thematic Competition. Under the guidance of WANG Wenhai, HUANG Zhongchen, SHI Yongzheng and ZHANG Xiaoran from the School of Environment and Energy Engineering and teachers from Engineering Practice Innovation Center, such as ZHANG Hantao, BUCEA’s three teams won two second prizes and one honorable mention in the competition.
